Portfolio

What a semester! I have loved and hated this class passionately... however it has made me learn things that I know will help me soar in the Field of Advertising and PR and when you are a ADPR Major you will learn that you and your major will have a love hate relationship forever. Santiago has taught me that hardwork pays off and last minute efforts show. I'm beyond grateful for this class as it has taught me so much, both in the world of digital media and the world of work ethics. Thank you Santiago and here's to the next chapter of my future in the world of Advertising and Public Relations! 

Somewhere Project

The Somewhere Project was actually really fun! I used an original image of The Addams Family and a picture I had of myself from Halloween. My picture of myself was originally in color and The Addams Family portrait was in black and white. I had to change my image to black and white and play around with the contrast and brightness of my photo so it accurately matched that of the The Addams. Overall, I really enjoyed this project! Who doesn't want to be part of The Addams Family!?

BW To Color

We had a total of 5 different images with different colors for this project but this one was by far my favorite. Santiago said I should be a Blonde but I have to disagree.... I loved the color scheme and think it went well with it being a relaxed summer beach picture. 

Autoscopy Part 2

Part 2 of my Autoscopy project focuses on the fear I had of losing my Grandma and the fear I now have of going through fighting Alzheimers Disease. Alzheimers Disease slowly takes away your memories and normal life functions, which is represented by the leaves beginning to blow away around my hair. The blurriness of my image represents the sense of your memories and thoughts beginning to become blurry and finally, the two photos of my Grandmother represent my memory I have of her which I am so thankful for and so scared to lose.

This is just Part 1 of my Autoscopy project but I loved this assignment because it gave us the opportunity to play around with the variety of tools in Photoshop while being able to apply a concept. The concept behind Part 1 is the fear of being drowned or trapped under the ocean that is still such a mystery to use. I believe the chains added the sense of fear as well as the dark sky and water movement. 

Break The Silence

This has been my absolute favorite project so far. Domestic Violence is something that both men and women need to be aware of and need to feel as if they have a safe space in society to speak. Im very pleased with how my poster project turned out...Break The Silence Against Domestic Violence!

Gradient Mesh

This project was one of the most difficult projects I have done so far! I should have given myself some more time to pay attention to detail but overall I was pretty happy with the end result. I originally started off with a totally different image and it went down hill so I had to restart. It took me about a total of 10 hours to complete and it definitely felt like it.

Poster Brain Storming

These are a few of my favorite posters that I came across while researching propaganda posters and looking up posters has made me even more excited to do this project. My favorite thing about these posters is how the simplicity of the images still conveys a heavy message like "Women's Rights" and "Make Art Not War". The Women's Rights poster has helped me to brainstorm the idea of focusing on Breaking the Silence Against Domestic Violence as my poster idea!

Business Cards Updated

My three business cards represent three different characteristics of myself; Social, Adventurous and Passionate. I represented each of these characteristics through images of a butterfly, mountain and an animal paw in reference to my passion for animals.
